Clinical Lead and Bike Fitting Consultant
Simon Smith is a well respected physiotherapist within the Yorkshire region. He currently works as a clinical lead and musculoskeletal specialist within the NHS, taking patients with complex musculoskeletal problems, whom have failed to improve with usual physiotherapy and General Practitioner management and putting them back on track. He is a musculoskeletal sonographer and, unique amongst most physiotherapists, has trained to be able to prescribe medication independently. He is well and truly working at the vanguard of his profession.
This role also places him in a team of specialist orthopaedic surgeons, physiotherapists, podiatrists and radiologists all also working at the top of their game.
Simon has held an Associate Lectureship at Teesside University, teaching expert practice in the assessment of musculoskeletal dysfunction on their Masters Degree program. He has lectured on bike fitting to an international audience.
Along side all of this, he is the digital lead for a national healthcare company. This focus on being ahead of the curve is taken into his running of Cycloform. A focus on value for clients using innovation ensures that Cycloform will always stay up to date.
A near obsessive approach to his own cycling with a clear focus on working hard to acquire performance gains has seen Simon dedicate his clinical and academic skills into the field of Bike Fitting.
